Your Special Angel
Last night I met an angel
Sent down from up above
She said they heard me asking
If there's an angel in charge of love.
She let me know indeed there was
And said she was sent to answer me.
She told me there is an angel.
A special angel looking after you for me.
I have always believed in angels
So I knew her words were true.
She said that long ago the Keeper of the stars
Heard my prayer and sent me you.
Then He sent this special angel
To stay with you each day
To keep you safe and help you wait
'Til I am on my way.
It won't be long my darling
Until we will be together
And then your special angel
Will be with both of us forever.
So when you're feeling lonely
And your days seem long and blue
Please know your special angel
Is always watching over you
She sprinkles stardust
In your dreams to keep my love in sight
Then gently wraps her wings around you
So you feel me holding you each night.
The days are getting shorter
And time is getting closer too
I'm halfway up that mountain now
And on my way to you.
Oh, how I thank the Keeper of the stars
And your special angel too.
They know that we are meant to be
And the love we have is true.

I did not know such love existed,
Gentle and fragrant beyond all words,
A dream I never hoped to realize,
Where souls speak and performances end.
God sent you into my life when all my patterns
of blindness and need had been established,
When I walked the same road again and again
for love I never got,
When I chose some pseudo-strength that ultimately
sought to control me and destroy my freedom,
When security became more important than life and love!
We were orphans together grown secretly strong,
both abandoned by cruel manipulation,
Not really able to believe that we had found each other.
I thought life had no meaning, that there was only
endless emptiness, and I distrusted all that was
feminine and strong.
All I know is that love does exist,
That a day and night with you
are worth all the pain, And that the love that began
so shyly, so cautiously, Can last forever!
