Chasing Dreams I've been trying so hard To chase you from my dreams. But no matter how I try You still appear it seems. I don't remember asking you To come to me at night In fact I don't even think of you Through the day - and that's alright. But late at night when I'm alone And fast asleep in bed You manage to come creeping in And play your games inside my head. You lay right down like you belong Then give me that devilish smile. And once again I'm falling hard Even if it's only for awhile. You know just how to do it How to always start the fire. You laugh and tease and play 'Til I burn with such desire. Well Darlin', let me warn you This can't go on forever...It has to end Someday I'll chase away the dreams Never to return again.
